Custom Badges

We have spoken about name badges, military badges, cap badges...Well a
whole lot of variety in them at that too. It is now time to talk of custom badges,
the 'in thing' for the badges of today. If you don't really get what you want then get
it tailor made seems to be the slogan. These can be made to order, depending on
the type of requirement you have, and for what you would want it. When we can have a car redesigned as per what we want, the inner lining can be changed, the deck system can be changed hence, a custom badge will not be an uphill task after all. There are patches that are available in the market as well, you can order for a custom badge that might have the looks of the original badge that you wanted for yourself. One can not help but wonder, that if we had these custom options available we could have had more customised off springs, though now medically that too is not impossible.

Selecting a finish...

There are many fabulous finishes that are available. A standard finish would be of nickel or rhodium. Nickel will be a conventional finish with a silver coating and a golden shade of yellow cast. This is applicable on a brass metal that has been thoroughly polished. There are often chances that there is a long durability with hardness that supports it. But over the years the nickel finish has experienced fading of colour after a long period. Rhodium has a silver finishing with a bluish white cast. This is a semi-precious metal finish that is applied on a brighter plate coated with nickel.

It is also considered tarnish resistant; hence, the colour will never fade away. As some prefer gold plating for them there would be a heavy 24 K electroplating of gold, that forms a heavy deposit on a nickel plate shining bright that will insure long wear. There are deluxe finishes, Options for letters used, the fonts that are to be used, depending on the shape of the badge you prefer there can be changes made.
